That connection,
the one you just can’t ignore..
Of course I want to make you happy.
You are my world,
and it’s you I adore.
In the beginning
God created an opportunity
Something new and shiny
And in a moment,
He created a you and me.
Give us an inch
And we take a mile
But I’ll walk that mile with you
Any day, any weather
And I’ll stare at you all the while
So consumed but never confused
We took it and ran as fast as we could
But it never crossed our minds that we could lose.
The new wore off
The fire still burns but it dimmed
When we realized what we would each lose in each other.
Feels like paper cuts on our hearts, it would leave us so paper thin.
So now our conscience is unrolling the caution line,
As if we’re at a crime scene
Witnessing the murder of our love, because you might as well take away my life.
If we could ever overcome this
We could admire our scars.
Cause no matter how many knives we put in each others back, we’ll always have each others back.
and that’s how lucky we are.
Maybe it’s me, and my blind optimism to blame,
That I ignored them when they said run as fast as you can.
But you painted me a blue sky,
Then went and turned it to rain.
All the ones you set flame to

And I’ll take your matches before you burn me too.
I’ve lived in your game,
And you change the rules everyday.
Because your so afraid to get cheated
Yet I’ve never been accused of foul play.

Theres bits of it on the floor,

So spare me this mass destruction,
